RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION

My child attended school in District 69 last year. How do I register my student?

Online registration for returning students is now open. In order to complete online registration, you will need an active Parent Portal account through Infinite Campus. You can access the Parent Portal here: https://sis.niles-hs.k12.il.us/campus/portal/niles.jsp

If you do not have an active Parent Portal account, please contact your school office for assistance in setting up a new account.

Do I need to prove residency during registration?

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, District 69 has identified alternative methods to verify residency, and returning families will not be required to submit proof of residency documents at the time of registration for the 2020-21 school year. You will be contacted at a later date to provide the necessary residency documents.

Are there any paper forms to complete?

Returning student registration is completed online through the Parent Portal. Most parents will not have any paper forms to complete and turn in to their school’s main office. Parents of incoming Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade students will need to complete and turn in the appropriate health packet.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

My child is new to District 69 this year. How do I register my student?

1. Please email the school’s main office to confirm your address is within District 69 boundaries. It is important that you complete this step before moving forward. If you have children that will attend multiple schools in District 69, you only need to contact one of your child’s schools to confirm your address.

2. Visit the following website to begin registering your new student. You will need to enter your name, select the appropriate academic term (2020-21), and enter a valid email address.

Once you submit the initial information, you will receive an email with a link to the online registration portal. Do I need to prove residency during registration?

New families to District 69 must prove residency by submitting the documents listed on the Verification of Residency form. You can take a picture or scan your documents and upload them directly to the Online Registration Portal.

How do I pay school fees?

Families do not need to pay student fees at the time of registration. Families may register students earlier and defer fee payment as long as all outstanding fees are either paid or waived by the first day of school.

If financial assistance is needed, fee waiver and free/reduced meal applications will be available in July. Please indicate your interest in a fee waiver or free/reduced meal application during online registration, and you will be notified when applications are available.

How old does my child need to be to attend Kindergarten?

Kindergarten is open to all District 69 students that will be age 5 by September 1, 2020. If your child is not old enough to attend Kindergarten but will be ages 3 or 4 by September 1, 2020, we encourage you to register your child for District 69’s preschool program, detailed below.

          3. Proof of Residency Requirements
          4. Home Language Survey – English • Spanish • Arabic • Urdu
          5. Kindergarten Health Forms
          6. Data Collection Form

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION

TOPS (Teaching our Preschoolers) Pre-K provides a developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum with an emphasis on literacy. Families have the option of morning or afternoon classes.

How old does my child need to be to register for preschool?

Children that will be ages 3 or 4 by September 1, 2020, may register for preschool at District 69.

How do I register my child for TOPS preschool?

Step 1: Contact Rosa Tosado at tosador@skokie69.net to obtain information about preschool, including required documents and information about screening.

Step 2: Once your documents have been accepted and your child has completed screening, you will be contacted as spaces in the program become available. It is important to note that TOPS Preschool is a needs-based program, and completing pre-registration does not guarantee enrollment into the program.

How do I register my child for the tuition-based preschool program?

Step 1: Contact Rosa Tosado at tosador@skokie69.net to obtain the required documents for registration.

Step 2: Once your documents have been reviewed, you will be contacted to complete registration and arrange for payment of tuition. District 69 offers multiple payment options to accommodate interested families.

My child attended preschool in District 69 last year, and I would like to register them for a second year of preschool. How do I register my preschool student?

If your child attended preschool in District 69 last year, you DO NOT need to attend Preschool Pre-Registration. In order to complete online registration, you will need an active Parent Portal account through Infinite Campus. PORTAL FOR FEES, GRADES, AND ATTENDANCE

District 69 uses Infinite Campus for the student information system. Parents can access Infinite Campus here: https://sis.niles-hs.k12.il.us/campus/portal/niles.jsp. You will need the code that was given to you when you completed registration. Students are able to use their network usernames and passwords to access the system.
