KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

How old does my child need to be to attend Kindergarten?

Kindergarten is open to all District 69 students that will be age 5 by September 1, 2021. If your child is not old enough to attend Kindergarten but will be ages 3 or 4 by September 1, 2021, we encourage you to register your child for District 69’s preschool program, detailed below.

My child attended preschool in District 69. How do I register my Kindergarten student?

In order to complete online registration, you will need an active Parent Portal account through Infinite Campus. Online registration for returning students will be available on March 1. You can access the Parent Portal here: https://sis.niles-hs.k12.il.us/campus/portal/niles.jsp

If you do not have an active Parent Portal account, please contact your school office for assistance in setting up a new account.

What registration documents do I need to complete to register my Kindergarten student?

To register your Kindergarten student, you will need:

          1. An original birth certificate
          2. Kindergarten Enrollment Form
          3. Proof of Residency Requirements
          4. Home Language Survey – English • Spanish • Arabic • Urdu
          5. Kindergarten Health Forms
          6. Data Collection Form

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION

District 69 Pre-K provides a developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum with an emphasis on literacy. Families may have the option of morning or afternoon classes.

How old does my child need to be to register for preschool?

Children that will be ages 3 or 4 by September 1, 2021, may register for preschool at District 69.

How do I register my child for District 69 preschool?

Step 1: Schedule a registration appointment by clicking here. Appointments are currently available on:

  • Tuesday, March 9, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 11, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 23, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Step 2: Complete all necessary registration documents (listed below) and submit proof of residency documents.

Please note: District 69 Preschool is a needs-based program, and completing registration does not guarantee enrollment into the program. If space is available, tuition-based spots will be made available to families.

If your child attended preschool in District 69 last year, you DO NOT need to make a registration appointment. Online registration for returning preschool families will be available on March 1. PORTAL FOR FEES, GRADES, AND ATTENDANCE

District 69 uses Infinite Campus for the student information system. Parents can access Infinite Campus here: https://sis.niles-hs.k12.il.us/campus/portal/niles.jsp. You will need the code that was given to you when you completed registration. Students are able to use their network usernames and passwords to access the system.
