Response to Intervention (RtI) has been described as a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for providing high quality instruction and intervention matched to student needs using learning rate over time and level of performance to inform instructional decisions.
Response to Instruction and Intervention is a problem solving, school improvement model that addresses instruction and student response to instruction/intervention. RtI provides the structure to ensure that all efforts of the district are coordinated and consistent. RtI embraces the integration of evidence based instruction, interventions, and assessments to address the full range of student academic and behavioral needs present in today’s classroom.
