In partnership with the Skokie Public Library, we are excited to offer you and your family an opportunity to learn about and make art in the artistic style of African-American portrait painter Kehinde Wiley, who created the portrait of the 44th President, Barack Obama. Participants will also be able to take their own portrait against a backdrop similar to that of President Obama’s. Participants are encouraged to bring artifacts that are unique to or representative of their cultural heritage, to include in their portrait, and to bring a photo of themselves to use in one of the art stations being offered. Light snacks will be provided.

When: February 19, 2020 at 6pm-7:30pm

Where: Edison School, 8200 Gross Point Road
