Superintendent's Welcome

Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome!

As Superintendent of Skokie–Morton Grove School District 69, I am proud to serve a community that values education, partnership, and the well-being of its children. Our schools are shaped by dedicated educators and staff who work each day to ensure students feel supported, challenged, and known.

As you explore our website, I hope you gain a clear sense of who we are and the opportunities available to our students and families. A few aspects of District 69 that reflect our work include:

Early Childhood Learning:

Through strong partnerships, we support families from birth through age five. Our home-based services for infants and toddlers and our play-based Pre-K program focus on building foundational skills, confidence, and a positive start to school.

Community Schools & Wraparound Services

We recognize that students are best positioned to learn when families have access to support. Our Community Schools department provides after-school enrichment, family engagement opportunities, and connections to health and social services. This coordinated approach helps us meet the needs of the whole child.

Modern, Student-Centered Facilities:

We are committed to maintaining learning environments that support high-quality instruction. District 69 recently opened a new facility for Lincoln Junior High designed to foster collaboration and flexible learning. Our elementary schools have also been renovated and expanded in recent years. We continue to plan responsibly to ensure our facilities meet the evolving needs of our students.

Safety & Security:

The safety of our students and staff is a priority. We maintain clear procedures, invest in facility improvement, and partner with local agencies to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Our goal is to provide schools that are both welcoming and secure.

Strategic Direction:

We are concluding our current six-year Strategic Plan (2020-2026), which has guided our goals and investments across the District. At the same time, we are engaging our community in developing the next five-year plan (2026-2031) to continue strengthening academic outcomes and supporting every learner.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about District 69. I’m honored to serve our community and look forward to the continued work ahead.

With gratitude,

Dr. Margaret Clauson
